Arnica
Arnica is one of the most widely known herbs. It helps to reduce pain, bruising and is very popular in homeopathic circles as the first treatment for any trauma.
Hypericum or St Johns Wort
Historical use has been for the relief of pain associated with local nerve damage.
Calendula
Known for it's soothing effect on irritated tissue. For use on sensitive skin, it is often found in cosmetics and wound salves and helps improve circulation.
Peppermint
The essential oil of peppermint is commonly used for its cooling sensation along with a feeling of deep absorbtion into the tissue. It also encourages an increased blood flow to the local area and aids as an analgesia.
