Kira GoodMood is made from a standardised extract of Hypericum perforatum, commonly know as St John’s Wort. The Hypericum extract is obtained from the upper parts of the plant using the flowers and leaves, which are gently dried before being made into tablets under stringent quality control. This way Kira tablets provide a standardized product to ensure your daily intake of its active ingredients are at an effective level and of consistently high quality.
Many experts believe that the important active constituents of Hypericum are natural substances called ‘Hypericins’. The yield and quality of Hypericins can be affected by their method of extraction which is why Kira’s standardized extract ensures you obtain the richest source of Hypericins in every Kira tablet you take.

Kira GoodMood is used in the treatment of depressive mood disorder characterized by psychological symptoms (restlessness, depression, despondency, insomnia) and physical symptoms (sweating, gastrointestinal complaints, headaches, palpitations, exhaustion).
Kira GoodMood has mood-brightening and stimulant actions and reduces tension. Normal sleep is promoted through its relaxant effect on the nervous system but Kira does not cause weariness or impair the ability to drive ore operate machinery.
Each Kira GoodMood film-coated Tablet Contains:
450mg of extract (as dry extract) from St. John's Wort aerial parts (Hypericum perforatum L.) (3— 6:1) (equivalent to 1350—2700 mg of St. John's Wort).
Also contains the following ingredients:
Extract excipients: Lactose monohydrate, silica colloidal anhydrous.
Tablet core: Cellulose microcrystalline, silica colloidal anhydrous, soy polysaccharides, long-chain partial glycerides.
Film-coating: Hypromellose, cellulose microcrystalline, stearic acid, titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide hydrate E172 (yellow iron oxide), vanillin.
Each film-coated tablet contains 19.15 mg of lactose and 42 mg of soy polysaccharides.
Adults: Take 1 tablet daily. Swallow whole with water.
Contraindicated for concurrent use with Warfarin, immunosuppressant drugs, HIV medications, Digoxin, chemotherapy and antidepressant drugs. Caution in concurrent use with Amitriptyline, oral antihistamines, benzodiazepines and simvastatin (Lipex). Avoid excess exposure to UV radiation (e.g. Sunlight, tanning beds) when using this product. Discontinue use of SJW at least 3 days prior to general anaesthesia. Keep out of reach of children. Not recommended during lactation, caution during pregnancy.
