Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) is one of the most widely used herbs as it has an important place in both Western and Eastern herbal medicine. It has hormonal, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antibacterial and antiviral effects and has been shown to stimulate immune system.
