Warning! Do not buy if you're a vegetarian looking for an alternative to fish oil-based omega products (which is the main reason for choosing Flax oil over the cheaper fish oil). Oddly, considering the market, the capsules contain gelatine!

Yes..The capsules are big but 'no pain no gain' ..just joking they are a bit big to swallow as the other review says but we find them fine to swallow with a glass of water. Good product and made in NZ.

what a shame this product isn't vegetarian. why on earth would Goodhealth make products that have no animal ingredients with gelatine capsules is beyond me. i bought this product thinking it would be veggie as their EPO is and find that i've wasted a whole lot of money. Really annoying! RESPONSE FROM GOOD HEALTH NATUROPATH: Flaxseed oil is very susceptible to heat, light and oxidation. The reason we only do a soft gelatin capsule and not a soft vegetarian capsule is that the stability of the flaxseed is greatly reduced in a vege cap. This of course has a negative impact on the flaxseed oil inside the capsule and also gives the product a lesser shelf life due to it’s instability. The option for vegetarians is of course to buy the flaxseed oil liquid (which we recommend anyway) which can be added to smoothies, salad dressings or taken straight off the spoon.
