Only Good

As awareness of the toxins that can lurk in our everyday household products grows, increasing numbers of people are seeking out ranges that are not only effective at doing their jobs, but which lack the nasty ingredients that threaten our health and environment too. Only Good is a New Zealand range that ticks all the boxes and is what it says on the label.

Their products are all vegan friendly, and cruelty free. There is no SLS/SLES to be found in their hand soaps and body wash, no parabens or petrochemicals in sight, no colours, synthetic fragrances or irritants like PEG and EDTA. Their range is entirely palm oil free – important for those wanting to protect the forests of Indonesia and the endangered species that live there, such as orangutans.

Only Good is formulated to be gentler for all types of skin. Their use of essential oils as fragrances mean there is a scent for every occasion, from relaxing to calming to soothing. With hand wash, body wash and various hand and body lotions, the range is extensive.

Product Reviews

  • Very disappointing!

Firtlsy, I am not happy with Health post, first time in 4 years, for not listing the complete list of ingredients. I thought I was going to get a natural product, not at all. The list is very long, and not at all wharvI was after. It stings the eyes, so not to use to remove mascara and l'effet my skin dry. I love he shower gels in that range, it stops there. So I will go back to my Sukin cleanser, as trying something new did not work for me.

  • Pleasantly surprised!

Whilst looking for a new face cream, this little number popped up and given that it claimed to be '100% Natural, Palm Free, and Cruelty Free,' it ticked a lot of boxes. I was apprehensive at first as it sounded like it had a lot of quite heavy ingredients (I'm looking at you coconut, rosehip and sweet almond oils) and that it may have been too rich for my combination skin, but I took a gamble and bought it. I'm glad I did, somehow it has evened out both my skin tone and texture, banished the dry and patchies I get around the sides of my nose, mouth and cheeks, while not leaving me looking like I took a dip in vaseline. It did take a solid 2 weeks of getting used to it and initially I was put off because it seemed to sink in really fast and still left my face feeling kinda dry, but I solved that problem by using a small amount initially and then 5 mins or so later, applying the same amount again as a second layer. It oddly seems to have done the trick and it means I'm still using the directed amount. My only other bugbear, is that it smells quite sickly sweet, almost like banana marshmallow lollies, but I got used to it pretty quickly and it disappears after an hour or so. Overall a really solid product!

  • Highly recommend this particular body wash

Bought as a gift and the recipient has now praised it to me on 3 occasions, consequently must be worth recommending.
