Vital Greens was developed in 2000 by two iconic Sydney naturopaths, Shane Sullivan and Stephen Sprada. At this time Shane and Stephen noticed an influx of clients with gut, bowel and digestive problems. Many of their clients were taking large amounts of supplements, some up to 30 tablets a day. Shane and Stephen therefore created a comprehensive powder formula that addressed digestive conditions and poor absorption – and Vital Greens was born.
I like the idea of pea protein as I try to minimise dairy in my diet and don't want a whey protein powder. Be aware if you haven't tried a pea protein powder before there is a distinct flavour to this protein powder which took a bit of getting used to even with the vanilla flavouring. Probably not so great if you mix your protein powder just with water like me. I resorted to using coconut water to mix with to disguise the taste a little. Other than that, no complaints.
I just did not like the taste even when mixed with milk just too unpleasant bland dried pea taste
Excellent One-Stop Shop!
We love our Vital Greens. Who wants to take fistfuls of supplements when you can have one simple drink in the morning covering 99.9% of your requirements? Delicious on its own, throw it in a smoothie, sprinkle over cereal...they all taste excellent. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to cover all their nutritional bases.
