doing WELL
HealthPost's humanitarian donation programme
The 'doing WELL' philosophy -
|
At HealthPost we believe that the wellness of the individual is always connected to the health of the broader community and the natural environment. As a business, we are focusing increasingly on environmental, cultural and ethical sustainability. We recognise that our customers are conscious not only of price but want to make a purchase that they can feel good about on all levels. It is not enough to BE well, we also need to DO well. |

We'll make a $1.00 donation for every completed web order
Donate one of our dollars to the worthy cause of your choice each time you order!
As of 18th December 2009, HealthPost will donate one dollar for every completed website order to your choice of recipient (from a selection of worthy causes). We'll make the donation, all you need to do is select your preferred cause at checkout. Having selected your delivery option, you'll then be asked to choose which cause you'd like our dollar to be given to. Simply check the box next to the cause you'd like our donation to go to, then continue through checkout as usual. We're keeping a tally and will continue to publish our quarterly donations on this page - see below for a tally of donations made to date

Royal New Zealand SPCA
Providing care and protection for animals across New Zealand.
The Royal New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals provides care and protection to animals across New Zealand. Each year we receive around 60,000 animals into our care and investigate more than 10,000 complaints of animal cruelty and neglect. As we receive only 2% of funding from the Government, we rely almost entirely on donations from the public in order to carry out our life-saving work. We speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ
Preventing blindness throughout the Pacific.
We are a non profit organisation dedicated to facilitating comprehensive and quality eye care in developing countries. The Foundation is committed to the fundamental human right of health for all and is independent, politically unaligned and secular. We work for a world where no-one is needlessly blind. Our work focuses on the prevention of blindness and restoring sight for people who are blind from cataracts or other disorders. We do this by focusing on training and work force support for eye doctors and nurses across the Pacific, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste.

HealthPost Environmental Fund
Neutralising your parcel's carbon footprint.
At HealthPost we are committed to accurately measuring our carbon footprint, reducing and off-setting the carbon emissions produced by our deliveries and daily operations, and minimising our impact on the environment wherever possible. We offset our carbon through the highly regarded NZ-based provider Offset the Rest. We’ve also partnered with Milnthorpe Park Scenic Reserve & Re-Forestation Project, and Golden Bay Coast Care, to do annual tree plantings in our local area. We’ve already planted more than 2000 trees in addition to our official carbon offsetting - learn more here.
