Stevita Spoonable Stevia uses only stevia extract with at least 95% pure glucosides (extremely sweet tasting ingredients of the Stevia herb leaves), and erythritol, a crystal granulated naturally produced filler found in fruits, vegetables and grains.

Stevia is a natural sweetener derived from a South American plant, Stevia Rebaundia. Approx. 250 times sweeter than sugar, Stevia contains no fat, sodium, carbohydrate or protein. It can be used in all foods and drinks, including baking, and has a history of use in Japan, Brazil, Paraguay and China.
The sweetest tasting crystals produced by the stevia plant makes the contents of this package as sweet as 3 packets of sugar. To make it possible to package the powder in small individual servings and to make it easier to measure for cooking purposes, we add in erythritol ,a bulking agent naturally extracted from fruits, vegetables and grains . Unlike other fillers in the market such as lactose, maltodextrine, F.O.S., etc, , erythritol has a very high digestive tolerance and is very safe for diabetics.
The Spoonable Stevita stevia is available in box of 50 individual packets or in 2.8 or 16oz. jars.

What is Stevia?
Among the many plants of the Compositae family, the Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni is the only one that produces intensively sweet tasting active substances called "steviol glycosides".
The Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni is a perennial plant that can reach 4 ft tall and is native of the highlands of central southeast South America covering portions of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.
For centuries the Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni has been used by the local natives and first settlers of the area, as a traditional medicine for diabetics and also as a source of sweetener for their drinks and teas.
Stevia Production around the World:
The stevia plant currently is commercially cultivated primarily in Brazil, Paraguay, Japan and China. China is by far the biggest crude and refined extract exporter to the US market. The extract with less than 95% concentration of the sweet crystals of the leaves ( they are referred to as "crude extracts) might have a bitter aftertaste because of the non-sweet particles mixed with the powder.
Erythritol, Stevita certified organic stevia.

Initially I felt I wasted my money on this. But after 6 months of using this I am sort of used to the taste. With no side effect and zero sugar, this product is highly recommended.

Customer rating:

We bought this hoping to replace sugar use. It tastes great in baking or drinks. But when used for cooking, it has a funny after taste that we haven't got used to yet. That limits its use.

This is a great product. I used to buy it from a wholefoods retailer in Aucklnd for much more than I pay online. I would totally recommend it -it lasts for ages and it dissolves really well in coffee or tea.

Have been using stevita for a long time now, when I first started using it, within the first month I actually lost 10 kilos in weight. Which proved just how much sugar was doing to my health. I have kept that weight ever since. Definitely impressed with stevita as a sugar substitute.
