Joint Pain & Inflammation Relief

Joint pain and inflammation are inextricably linked. Most people experience joint pain to varying degrees at some point in their lives. This is completely normal considering the everyday wear and tear that we put our joints through. Yet, when this pain becomes persistent (chronic), then the condition is usually referred to as arthritis. The word ‘arthritis’ is originally from the Greek ‘arthro-’ (joint) and ‘-itis’ (inflammation). Contrary to popular belief, arthritis is not a new condition or one that is solely associated with old age. It can affect people of all ages and is possibly one of the oldest health concerns known to humankind.

Joint Pain & Inflammation Info

Most people experience joint pain to varying degrees at some point in their lives. This is completely normal considering the everyday wear and tear that we put our joints through. Yet, when this pain becomes persistent (chronic), then the condition is usually referred to as arthritis.

The word ‘arthritis’ is originally from the Greek ‘arthro-’ (joint) and ‘-itis’ (inflammation). Contrary to popular belief, arthritis is not a new condition or one that is solely associated with old age. It can affect people of all ages and is possibly one of the oldest health concerns known to humankind. Fossilised Neanderthal remains from over 100 000 years ago have been analysed and evidence of arthritic-like conditions were discovered in their skeletal structures.

There are many different forms of arthritis (nearly 100 have been identified to date). The most common forms of arthritis are osteoarthritis (inflammation occurring within the joint itself) rheumatoid arthritis (inflammation in peripheral joints like the hands,) psoriatic arthritis (affecting the skin around the joint). When a joint becomes infected, it is known as septic arthritis.

How ordinary joint pain progresses to arthritis is still not known, even after all these years of humans dealing with the condition. The pain from arthritis is due to inflammation that occurs in and around the joint itself. It is also believed that joint damage from previous afflictions and muscle strains caused by (often forceful) movements against stiff and painful joints are possible root causes of the condition. Hereditary factors may also play a role, and the majority of medical researchers agree that viral and bacterial infections appear to promote the inflammation associated with arthritis.

Product Reviews

  • Excellent product. Excellent service

I purchased the Zen tablets as I needed a stronger natural pain relief than the tumeric supplements I was taking, which were helping to a degree but not quite taking all the pain away. I thought if they could help with arthritis they should be able to help with my muscle pain from injuries. Within the first day after taking two I noticed my pain decrease and then the next day took the same and my pain was hardly noticeable. I was so thankful as they definitly just a bit stronger and the relief from the pain was wonderful.
Great service from Healthpost too in delivering the product quickly.

I often wonder if supplements are actually doing what they say-this one certainly does! I notice the difference as soon as I stop taking this supplement...my knees let me know within a week!

Both my wife and I use Sam-e, Donna on a regular basis for OA in her knees and myself after heavy exercise sessions or feeling very anxious. Donna has basically stopped taking pain killers (from the day she started using Sam-e), my after exercise pains and aches are nonexistent at least by the next day and the edge is almost immediately taken of my anxiety so Sam-e really works for both of us and as my Doctor says if you find something that works for you go for it.
