This product utilises the bactericidal properties of Tea Tree Oil to kill odour-causing bacteria which grow in perspiration on the skin. Ordinary antiperspirants use aluminium or zirconium salts to reduce the pore openings. These block the openings and prevents perspiration from escaping.
Thursday Plantation deodorant and anti-perspirant is not based on a possibly harmful astringent which artificially inhibits the normal physiological function of perspiring. It is based on natural tea tree oil which eliminates putrification bacteria, preventing the bad odour which results from bacterial breakdown of body moisture.

works well at keeping your bodily smells at bay but it's tea tree smell is bit overbearing and not the nicest.

I guess maybe the smell of tea tree oil is an acquired thing, because both my husband & I have used this for years and love it. It is not an anti-persperant, but you will not get body odour from using this, even if you do sweat a little. It works brilliantly. We recently tried another brand from this website & my husband didn't like the smell, so it's Tea Tree all the way. You won't find anything better for killing bacteria.

I do like this product, probably the best deodorant i've ever used. The tea tree smell is strong when you first apply it but after a while it isn't so noticeable. The more you apply , the better it works. I exercise regularly and it is a good anti-perspirant for me. Doesn't leave residue on your skin.

Sadly, although the ingredients list is great - all natural, and the fragrance is pleasant, mild, it didn't stop the odor from forming on me!! Was rather disappointed - I guess if I put it on every couple of hours it may be successful...

I had been using this product for about 15 years and have never had a problem with odour until the time when the new look container came out. The ingredients have changed and sadly I have had to change deodorants because I now have odour if I use this product

This is a poor quality product which regularly fails by mid afternoon. Thinking this product was not intended as a male deodorant I gave my remaining stock to my partner and she found the same problem. Don't buy it unless you are able to reapply throughout the day.

This was the best odor-eliminating deodorant, until the new packaging - you're right, Marcia. Consumer Institute research shows - the only one killing the bacteria. But... you have to wait until it dries & find the old version - cheaper and better. I still count on it as I have a very thin & sensitive skin.
