Green People SPF25 Sun Lotion is a medium level natural lotion offering 96% protection from UVB rays. Water resistant & fragrance free, it is suitable for fair complexions and sensitive skin.

This natural sun lotion is made without Parabens, Lanolin, phthalates, artificial perfumes, petrochemicals and colourants to bring you the purest sunscreen that nature can offer.
Vegetarian not vegan due to beeswax content.
Q.Why do you only offer SPF25?
Our sun lotions offer around 96% coverage from UVB rays and a factor 50 would only offer 2% more in coverage. However the SPF number only relates to UVB rays, not UVA, and sun lotion needs to be re-applied regularly to maintain protection from both.
The danger in giving a higher SPF factor gives false confidence to stay out in the sun for longer periods. The UVA rays have a deeper effect in the skin cells and you cannot see the damage this is causing (the UVB rays are the ones that cause the burning on the surface of the skin).
We therefore recommend that you re-apply sun lotion every couple of hours to maintain protection against both UVA & UVB rays.
Q.How does this differ from the children's no scent lotion? Does it offer the same protection to children's skin?
The Sun Lotion SPF15 can be used on children, although the lotion base might be a little heavy (thick) for very young skin. That is why we also produce two sun lotions specifically for children. However, the UV filters used in both the adult and children's sun lotions is the same and they all provide protection against UVB and UVA.

The palm oil used in Green People products is from certified organic sources. This means that it comes from trees that are grown on long-established plantations which are managed in a sustainable way to ensure that native fauna and flora are preserved. It is a condition of achieving organic certification that the growth and production of crops does not have an adverse effect on the environment either on a local or global scale, and agricultural schemes that involve deforestation are specifically excluded from all organic certification schemes.
Apply liberally half an hour before sun exposure. Re-apply frequently and always after swimming.
Do not stay in the sun too long, even when using a sunscreen product.

I am allergic to so many things, I am so glad I came across this and the website. I give this a go and I could not believe that it is the first sun cream I have ever used that did not burn me or give me prickly heat or a rash. I am fair skinned so need to be careful but I have lots of freckles, a lovely sun-kissed colour and no sign of any redness or heat. Thank you so much for this. Another point is there is no scent from it. Pure luxury to use, cause it is not thin and runny (like some of them do) but the texture is just lovely to use, and a little goes a long way.

This sunscreen is a pleasure to use, light to apply with only a very faint whitening effect. And it makes my skin feel good with none of the usual reactions I have experienced with other sunscreens. The large tube is good value too.
