Antipodes Immortal Performance Plus is a fragrance-free daily moisturizer with a natural sun protection factor (SPF) of 15.

Antipodes have recently improved the formula to make it a little thinner and easier to apply.

SPF 15 sunscreen offers up to 93 percent absorption and filtering of Ultraviolet A (UVA) and Ultraviolet B (UVB) sunlight, a fantastic comparison to SPF 30, which offers up to 97 percent.

Perfect for protecting both normal and sensitive skin, Immortal Performance Plus is age defense for skin at its natural best. The super-performance moisturizer is enriched with raspberry oil, a botanical extract naturally blessed with broad-spectrum sun protection to offer immortal, abidingly beautiful skin to women of all ages.

The moisturizer is designed to keep skin moist and firm with the powerful plant-based hyaluronic acid to prevent trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL). Antioxidant-packed Vivanza grape and kiwi extract decreases facial flushing and the melanin production that causes freckling and pigmentation, while the ancient Reishi mushroom of immortality fosters healthy cell growth.

Along with raspberry oil, Antipodes uses a natural sun filter called Soloveil which is zinc dispersed in capric/caprylic acid, a derivative of coconut oil. This is an inorganic ultraviolet absorber, best when used with a naturally derived dispersing agent such as in the Antipodes formulation. The zinc oxide component of Immortal Performance Plus physically blocks ultraviolet radiation (UVR).

Immortal Performance Plus is best applied for evermore to face, neck, décolletage and backs of hands before exposing skin to sunlight.

It can be effectively applied under make-up, and should be used on both sunny and cloudy days.

Natural SPF refers to the use of inorganic ultraviolet absorbers like titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. Such mineral-based sun filters usually have a maximum SPF rating of 15, and are considered more natural, milder and safer to use than synthetic alternatives – especially on sensitive skin.

A number of natural beauty brands rely on synthetic chemical absorbers called organic ultraviolet absorbers, marketed as “organic filters”. However, these often petrochemical-based sunscreens are not natural and potentially irritating. Examples are PABA and methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol.

I don't like this product and won't buy it again. I like a thick rich cream but this sits on top of my skin creating a white film which I have to really rub hard to get it to go into the skin. I am continuing to use it because it wasn't cheap but can't wait until it's finished. I have tried it with and without the Hosanna Serum underneath. (I love the night cream htough and have beenusing that during the day over winter)

I'm afraid I agree with Katherine - vey hard to spread but white disappears eventually if you have time to keep working it. Also not sure if the SPF is lab verified. I was really satisfied with this product and find it very useful. As other reviews say, it does create white film but easily vanished and absorbed as you gently spread them out. The best thing about this product is that unlike other natural sunscreen(contain Zinc Oxide), it doesn't feel heavy and oily. I have oily skin so I'm quite concern for these things. It would be better if the SPF rating was higher but still found it very useful and love the texture. Would highly recommend!

This is the second time I've tried this product. The first time was fine but the second time I have definitely noticed that it is hard to rub in and leaves an uneven white film. I wonder if the formulaton has changed? Once rubbed in it's lovely. ANTIPODES RESPONSE: this sounds like the product has just thickened slightly. This is because we use a natural SPF. We recommend for best application of this product, that the product is first pumped directly into the palm of the hands, and then warmed in-between the palms for a few seconds, before applying as usual. HEALTHPOST (June 2011): we now have a new batch from Antipodes which has been improved - a thinner consistency, making it easier to apply.

For an SPF 15 skin cream, this product is beautiful. I live in a tropical climate with high sun exposure, so it's comforting to know my everyday skin cream provides UV protection. It also spreads well and evenly and my sensitive skin seems to love it.

I'm sorry I have to say I didn't find this new formulation any better. It is nice once rubbed in, doesn't have a sunscreen smell and doesn't cause reaction on my sensitive skin but hard work applying. I have tried warming in palm first etc.

very disappointed with this product, I bought a second bottle after reading the product was thinner and easier to apply but sadly this isn't so. It is really thick and unpleasant and does not absorb well leaving greasy and white film on my face. Pump is not working now either and its impossible to shake the product in the bottle. Love other Antipodes products but this one needs a rethink.

Sorry I have to agree with some other reviews, I found this product very difficult to rub into my skin, it leaves a film on my skin. I took it into work to let other people try & they had the same result. Would not recommend.

I absolutely love this product! Yes it takes a bit of getting use to with the zinc but you want natural right? I like the idea of the white when you first put it on as i can see where it is going plus you know you have protected ALL your face. Then just rub it in and it will dissolve into the skin easily! It is a great base for makeup and the zinc and other ingredients are very healing on the skin. Great for my children too with no nasties!
