Healtheries Spirulina Plus is a blend of three concentrated natural food sources - Spirulina, Kelp, and Alfalfa, and is rich in vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll, and proteins.

Helpful for: boosting energy levels for those under stress, fatigued or “run down”; vegetarians, athletes, growing children, and pregnant and breastfeeding women to boost nutrient levels; as part of a weight loss programme, to assist in boosting the thyroid function, balancing blood sugar levels, and reducing cravings and appetite; assisting in detoxification programmes and to help alkalise the system; and for those with underactive thyroid function.
 
SPIRULINA
 
  • A rich food source of Betacarotene and the essential fatty acid - Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA).
  • A complete vegetarian source of all the essential amino acids, Spirulina is 65% protein, with virtually no saturated fat.
  • An excellent source of biochelated organic iron.
  • Spirulina acts as an appetite suppressant as it is relatively high in the amino acid phenylalanine, and is therefore ideal for weight control programmes.
  • Spirulina assists with detoxification, and is helpful for blood and bowel cleansing.
  • Helps to balance fat and cholesterol metabolism.
  • Studies have indicated decreased cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein (LDL) levels with spirulina consumption
 
KELP
 
  • A natural source of iodine and other minerals - potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron and copper.
  • Alginates found in kelp have a great water absorbing capacity and are useful as a bulking laxative to help prevent constipation.

ALFALFA
 
  • Has anti-anaemic and nutritive qualities and is recommended for building up convalescing patients or those who are “run down”.
  • Alfalfa has alkalising and skin cleansing properties.

 

Dose:

 
Adults: Take 1 to 3 tablets daily
Children (6 - 12 years): 1 tablet daily
Or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Take with food.

Contra-indications:

 

  • Avoid in cases of hyperthyroidism or sensitivity to iodine
  • Spirulina should not to be used as a source of vitamin B12 by vegetarians or vegans.

I started taking Healtheries Spirulina after a period of extreme stress which left me exhausted. It made a remarkable difference almost from day one.
