Thompson's Grape Seed 1900 super antioxidant is a standardised extract of grape seed that contains a scientifically validated 150mg of oligomeric proanthocyanidins - better known as OPCs - the active component in grape seed.
Grape Seed extract has proved to be one of the most powerful natural antioxidants available, capable of protecting cells from excess damage due to free radical attack. Free radicals are ‘rogue’ molecules released in our body as a result of excess oxidation that takes place due to environmental pollution, exposure to excessive amounts of radiation, smoking and other contaminants as well as poor dietary habits. Free radical damage also takes place as part of the normal ageing process. Grape Seed may help to delay the rate at which oxidative damage occurs.
It is the polyphenol content of red wine that has been implicated in the 'French paradox', a term referring to the low incidence of cardiovascular disease in France, despite a high dietary fat intake. It is these compounds that are concentrated in Grape Seed extracts and standardised to the level of compounds known as oligomeric procyanidins (OPCs).
Grape Seed is used primarily for circulatory disorders, such as peripheral venous insufficiency and has been found, in many studies, to effectively treat such conditions. Because Grape Seed extract has antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties combined with a cell wall protective mechanism, it is also effective in the maintenance of normal function of vascular walls. Grape Seed procyanidins may also inhibit platelet aggregation. Grape Seed extract is clinically used in cases of poor peripheral circulation and eye problems related to poor blood flow to the fine capillaries of the eye.

Extract from 19gm (19000mg) of Grape Seed (Vitis vinifera), standardised to contain 150mg of Procyanidins (OPCs).
Adults - take 1 capsule a day (with food), or as professionally prescribed.
Suspend use 1 week prior to major surgery. Safety has not been scientifically established in pregnancy. Caution should used with asprin.

In just under 2 months I found to my amazement this product actually reduced significantly the swelling of my varicose veins which a common problem in my family. They were very prominent and looked quite ugly especially when wearing high heels. Highly recommended.
