- Horsetail herb is a rich natural source of organic Silica, an important trace mineral component of collagen, the major skin tissue. Silica is optimally absorbed in an organic form, such as that found in Horsetail herb.
- Silica exerts a potent connective tissue strengthening action which maintains the elasticity, firmness and strength of the skin, bones, tendons, ligaments and nerves.
- Horsetail is also rich in Potassium, Manganese and fifteen different types of flavonoids, which nourish the tissues underlying the skin and enable skin repair and growth.

Have always been frustrated with splitting brittle nails espec with lots of housework. Recently hair seemed dry and lifeless too - a result of hormonal change experienced in menopause I think. Read about silica in helping with hair,skin and nails. Have just finished only 2 packets of Silicaplex and I have nicely varnished long nails and my hair seems to have regained volume and lustre. Am very very happy with the quick results.
