Healthy Drinks

There are a number of products that may be classed as ‘healthy drinks’, besides water! These are all drinks that also confer some kind of nutritional benefit.

 

Variety of Healthy Drinks

 

  • Teas are made from the dried or fresh leaves (or in some cases roots or flowers) of various herbs, steeped in water and consumed hot or cold. Herbal teas can have a positive effect on various body systems like digestion or immunity as well as help lift mood or calm mind. Try Matcha green tea for its extraordinary antioxidant properties.
 
  • Coffee substitutes are popular for those wanting to wean off caffeine and are usually made from roasted roots of plants, typically from dandelion and burdock.
 
  • Protein powders are used for additional protein, and made from whey, egg white, pea, rice or other sources of protein. These can be used as shakes on their own or added to smoothies.
 
  • Superfood powders are made from plants that contain abnormally high levels of nutrients, such as maca, beetroot, cranberry and more, and are a perfect addition to smoothies.

    包装非常好看,很方便放在办公室里饮用。没有冲泡之前,味道挺重的,但是合起来味道很清淡。我对咖啡因很敏感,喝这个不会睡不着觉,不错。

    As someone who has only used whey protein, I was keen to try something better for me. I'd be lying if I said the texture and taste wasn't a bit of a shock at first but I am totally hooked on Amazonia's Raw Fermented Paleo Proteins. It's satisfying after a work out, light enough to not make me feel icky (specially if I have it before a workout), not sweet- just right. If you're looking to move to a natural protein, you must try this- there is NO WAY I'm going back to whey!!

    My only suggestion is to use more water than the directions say (I use 300-400ml instead of 200ml).
