Smoothie Ingredients

In our busy, modern lives, it can be difficult for many people to consume their five or more servings of fruit and vegetables in a day. One of the easiest – and most popular - ways to get around this is to have them all at once, in the form of smoothies. Smoothie Ingredients Info

The simplest way to make a smoothie is to chop up fruit, put it into a base of a water, dairy or nut milk, add some nuts, seeds, oats, or leafy green vegetables, and blend. However, there are many other things you can add to take your smoothie to the next level, often enhancing the flavour in the process. These range from exotic fruits, superfoods and powders, various herbs, protein powders and more.

Fermented foods can add a probiotic boost. Green powders may add nutritional value, particularly where green vegetables are out of season or hard to source. Essential fatty acids such as flaxseed or fish oils can add critical macronutrients lacking in many modern diets.

Take your pick and start your day in a delicious way.

Product Reviews

  • So tasty

    star

I love this product. I put it in my smoothies for breakfast and it tastes delicious. The colour looks appetizing and I am often tempted to have a second one later in the day. I feel great and I believe it is helping the body with its eliminating process. Something that I have struggled with for years.

  • In my opinion, the best

    star

I have tried a number of Amazonia protein powders but have come back to this, I have seen great results, feeling better health wise and now 7 kgs lost in around 4 months...great flavour too, I have my 3 scoops at work for morning tea....

  • Best tasting plant protein, slightly more expensive

    star

I have tried a few plant proteins on the market and have found them all to be too highly sweetened. This protein is the first plant protein I have bought that tastes nice, and isn't too sweet. Have only tried this particular flavour from Amazonia though.
It is one of the more expensive plant proteins, but I will probably continue to purchase this as it doesn't overpower my smoothies, and the texture is also quite nice compared to other paste-like proteins as well.
