Molasses

Molasses is a thick, dark, strongly flavoured by-product of sugar cane refining and sugar production, similar in consistency to honey or treacle, and rich in numerous minerals. Produced by boiling the juice of sugar cane or sugar beets, molasses is naturally high in sugar, yet contains significant levels of iron, magnesium, calcium, as well as manganese, zinc and the B vitamin group. It's suitable for use in cooking or as a dietary supplement.

Product Reviews

  • A very nice tasting molasses.

    star

The added cranberry makes this the nicest tasting molasses that I have ever used. If you like to take it straight off the teaspoon as I do then this is one I would recommend. It can be a bit runny off the spoon though but you can remedy this by keeping it in the fridge. The extra nutrients of the cranberry is a good idea too.
