Superfoods

We all know the key to eating well is to incorporate plenty of real, whole foods in our diets – vegetables, fruit, eggs, meat and so on. But how many of us include those foods that are extraordinarily high in the good stuff?

Superfoods are ones that have unusually high nutritional density, rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other goodies that help us live long, happy, healthy lives. While many of us think of ‘superfoods’ as rare fruits sourced from the Amazon rainforest and other exotic places, many of the foods we eat every day are also classed as superfoods – for example turmeric, beetroot and honey. Try adding them to your daily diet or supplementation regime, or add interest and flavour to your smoothies with nutrient-rich powders.

Product Reviews

  • Great pick-me-up

    star

Reading about the benefits of bone broth on the internet, it was timely to see Healthpost advertising an organic product.
Half way through the first packet now, and from the very first pot, the goodness could be felt seeping into my cells. My immune
system has been struggling with detox from heavy metals and for the last 7 weeks, a hard to get rid of bug. I am finally feeling
some strength coming back into my body. When using the turmeric broth, don't forget to add some black pepper to aid turmeric bioavailability.
Although the cost seems high, when I worked it out, it seems to result in a meal for $3. Not bad considering the nutritional value and time it takes to make the product.

  • Excellent Product

    star

Have only just started buying this product after having discovered it in a smoothie during visits to Wellington over the past 3 years. Now enjoying it 3-4 times per week. I add this along with the Natva Sachi Inchi Protein Powder to my smoothies (and sometime a heaped teaspoon of Pic's or Fix & Fog peanut butter) post exercise, or as a meal replacement. It's a great pic-me-up and tastes wonderful.
