What are Goji Berries?
Goji berries (Lycium barbarum) grow in the high altitude of the Himalayan region. Also known as Chinese Wolfberry, the goji berry plant belongs to the Solanaceae (nightshade) family which includes potatoes, tomatoes, aubergine, capsicum, chilli, paprika, tamarillo and tobacco.
Goji berries are another of nature’s super foods, a whole food containing concentrated amounts of many nutrients including immune-stimulating polysaccharides, which some claim make goji berries the highest food source of antioxidants in the world. They are also packed with proteins, amino acids, trace minerals, vitamins and other phytonutrients.
Over a long history spanning thousands of years, goji berries have been used by the peoples of China, Tibet and India to promote longevity and improve fertility and sexual function. Today they are available as whole berries or in juice, puree, tablet and capsule form.
Goji Berry Benefits

Goji Berry Side Effects and Contraindications
When consumed as a food in either berry or juice form, there are no contraindications or side effects for goji berries. In capsule form, containing concentrated extract of goji berries, caution is recommended if taking blood thinning medication. If pregnant or breastfeeding consult with your health practitioner before taking in concentrated supplement form. Caution recommended for people sensitive to nightshade family plants (Solanaceae).

I put them in with my quinoa as I cook my breakfast.
My son loves this protein powder in his smoothie and boy does it make him grow. Highly recommended!
I add this to a smoothie for my kids using almond milk banana blueberries and vanilla protein powder and ice. It's delicious and gives it a great berry flavour
