What are Super Foods?

Super foods are nutritional 'powerhouses' - nutrient dense whole foods rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other nutrients we need for optimal health and well-being. They are generally packaged into supplement form while in a largely unprocessed state. This is because they're stand-alone nutritionally balanced foods, and typically just need to be dried or powdered for human consumption.

The range of super foods available is extensive and includes spirulina, chlorella, wheat grass, barley grass, bee pollen, royal jelly, kelp, acai, goji berries, chia seeds, maca root and many more. Each super food contains its own specific blend of naturally balanced health enhancing nutrients.

Super Food Benefits

While super foods offer a varied range of health giving properties, in general they are high in antioxidant value and promote cellular cleansing. They are a source of easily absorbed bioavailable nutrition, and some contain all essential nutrients needed for human health.

Because they are whole foods, super foods are generally considered safe when consumed as directed. Refer to specific headings for individual super foods to check precautions.

    i love the taste and definitely feel the benefit of adding this to my daily supplement routine. Mixes well with other ingredients in a smoothy or with a protein powder but is also very easy to drink just mixed with water.

    Just tried it. Very good taste - So far I only mixed it with Homegrown Juice Company - Berry Anti-ox and I loved it. Positives:
    - I feel like I just had a huge salad and I did not need the time/effort to have it :)
    - I have been getting over a cold and felt so dead tired the whole week. After this I have energy to burn so... seems quite efficient for all sorts of recovery too (cold/ gym).
    I would say that i only tried 3/4 of a scoop and felt too much energy for 9pm at night. So try less in the evenings if sensitive i guess.
    Would recommend it. :)

    I bought a few snack bars like this one with my last order and this one was my favourite. Its very yummy and has a nice moist texture. I loved the cacao nibs which satisfy my chocolate cravings. They are expensive though so I will only get them occaisionally as a treat.
