What are Super Foods?

Super foods are nutritional 'powerhouses' - nutrient dense whole foods rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other nutrients we need for optimal health and well-being. They are generally packaged into supplement form while in a largely unprocessed state. This is because they're stand-alone nutritionally balanced foods, and typically just need to be dried or powdered for human consumption.

The range of super foods available is extensive and includes spirulina, chlorella, wheat grass, barley grass, bee pollen, royal jelly, kelp, acai, goji berries, chia seeds, maca root and many more. Each super food contains its own specific blend of naturally balanced health enhancing nutrients.

Super Food Benefits

While super foods offer a varied range of health giving properties, in general they are high in antioxidant value and promote cellular cleansing. They are a source of easily absorbed bioavailable nutrition, and some contain all essential nutrients needed for human health.

    I have always used Maca in a powder form, but sometimes forget to add it to things, I find the pill form easy to use and find the product good, and just as beneficial as straight powder, as I can add more by breaking up capsules for recipes. I like the convenience of being able to take a pill every day if I wish.

    My partner and I have been taking this for the past few months. It had definitely helped with body odours! Also helps me to feel less bloated and more comfortable after eating. Added bonus is that I take it at night after a few too many drinks and in the morning I feel better than without it!
