- Pleasant tasting
- Melts in your mouth
- Gentle on the system
Iron Melts are a pleasant tasting iron and vitamin supplement which literally melt in your mouth. Iron is an important trace mineral that is found in every cell of the body. However, iron deficiency, which can lead to anaemia, is a very common nutritional deficiency worldwide, especially in women.
Iron supplements are often required by many - both men and women - to assist in raising iron levels. Iron Melts help to establish iron levels back to normal and therefore avoid symptoms associated with anaemia. Iron Melts also contain other vitamins that may be lacking in some people’s diet and are important for general well-being.
One of the main causes of low iron stores is insufficient iron in the diet. We all must ensure that we have enough iron in our diet; however, vegetarians are at a greater risk, as the best food source of easily absorbed iron is animal products, in particular red meats. Children may also suffer low iron stores due to a lack of dietary supply.
Chronic blood loss can also cause low iron stores. Women are more likely to suffer from low iron stores because of blood loss each month through menstruation. Women with heavy monthly periods can lose a significant amount of iron.
How long do Iron Melts take to work?
The iron and vitamins in Iron Melts are absorbed after the very first dose, however, the length of time it takes for iron levels to normalise and any symptoms of iron deficiency to resolve may vary between people.

I love these, despite what I have read regarding the artificial sweetner, I have recently had tests revealing extremely low iron despite being on iron tablets aswell, have taken these in conjunction to these and have noticed a real difference in my energy, clearly these have improved my life and at such a low cost, the good in these far outweigh the negative additives! Defintely recommend

I was very disappointed to read on the packet that they contained aspartame / phenylalanine. They taste like sweet fizzy lollies. The artificial sweetener is an unnecessary ingredient. If people want lollies, they will go buy them. I don't. I am not interested in consuming this product with the additive of aspartame. I wish I had realised this prior to purchasing. It also says on the box 'not for the treatment of iron deficiency conditions'. I wonder what the benefit is of taking them then?

Wouldn't recommend this product due to the artificial sweetener which has been linked to so many health problems. Quite disappointed it is being stocked by HealthPost.

Very delicious to eat but sadly I hadn't read the label - they contain aspartame, a big dietary no-no for us (and all mankind in my opinion). Interestingly, Mr 3yo has recently decided not to have any more.

These are an excellent way to get iron - I'd almost given up hope, as everything was either giving me tummy trouble or costing me a small fortune. These tiny tablets are like tasty sweets, they dissolve really quickly and do not affective the digestive system at all. Really good value!
