The added flax fibre contains naturally occurring lignans which have powerful immune boosting effects and appear to have potent anti-cancer properties. Stringent processing standards
Like the rest of the Waihi Bush organic farm products, Flax Power falls in line with stringent processing standards from pressing the flaxseed right through to packing the finished product. Flax Power is processed in the absence of light, air and reactive metals and packaged in black HDPE plastic under a blanket of inert gas to dispel oxygen, further protecting it against light and oxygen damage.
As well as simply taken by itself, Flax Power can be used to enrich cottage cheese, yoghurt, smoothies, sauces, dressings, salads and vegetables.

Waihi Bush recommend taking 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil a day (15-30ml).
When first taking flax seed oil, they advise that you start off slowly with a small amount (e.g. 1 teaspoon a day), and build up the amount over time. Excessive amounts of flax seed oil may cause diarrhoea or nausea. Do not take on an empty stomach as this can cause nausea in some people.
Store cool.
Can be frozen.
Once open keep refrigerated and use within five weeks.
