Folic Acid Supplement Regulations:
The New Zealand Ministry of Health (MOH) limits the amount of folic acid available in non-restricted Folic Acid supplements to 300-500mcg. Some sources, including the MOH's own guidelines, indicate that a higher daily intake of Folic Acid is more appropriate, especially in the early stages of pregnancy.
