Historically, the berries were used to ’check violent sexual desires’ in monasteries and leaves of the chaste tree were worn by vestal virgins in ancient Rome as a symbol of chastity.
Mechanism of Action:
Vitex Agnus-Castus, or Chaste Tree, shows hormone type activity but is itself not a hormone. It helps to regulate the menstrual cycle and may assist in the symptomatic relief of irregular periods. Its effects derive from its ability to maintain a normal balance of oestrogen and progesterone in the body.

Concentrated herbal extract equivalent to dry:
Chaste Tree (Vitex agnus castus) fruit 1g (1000mg)
Not to be taken in pregnancy unless prescribed by a health practitioner.

I use this product to naturally balance my hormones. I really notice the difference in moods and general wellbeing when I'm on this product. Easy to take at one pill per day and I love the price.

As much as I wanted this to help with PMS and heavy periods, it actually had the effect of making my periods last longer and caused break-through bleeding. It had no effect on my mood. I stopped using it after 2 months and my periods returned to their previous state.That said, I think other women should try it and see how they go, because everyone is different if causes side effects, you can stop taking it.

I love this product, Ive been taken it for a few years now and it definitely helps my PMT moods, I wouldn't be without it. It hasn't really helped with period pain or bloating but like anything, I think its effect will differ from person to person. Definitely worth a try to see if it helps with any of your PMT symptoms.

This product really works, I didn't realise just how well until I ran out! I noticed very little difference in my mood month to month when I was taking it, but sure did when I stopped!

I have been using this product for some years now and wouldnt be without it. I think I have reached some sort of plateau but my periods remain predictable and my mood swings PMT definately less savage. This product gives you the confidence to know where you are month to month.

Vitex 1000 is an easy way of taking chaste berry and is in a good high strength which I believe is needed. This product helps keep me regular and helps with PMS as long as I remember to take every day. More importantly to take first thing when you awake, before getting out of bed, I find better results.
