Radiance Women's Iron Complex provides herbal and nutritional support for women with heavy periods or iron deficiency. Dietary fortification with supplemental iron may also assist in the maintenance of energy and immune function. May also support stamina and endurance in athletic women, as adequate iron levels assist both muscular and cardiac performance.
Iron deficiency is a common problem, especially for women. Regular to heavy menstruation, strenuous exercise, vegan or vegetarian diet and poor digestion can all contribute to iron deficiency.
Radiance® Women’s Iron Complex provides iron bisglycinate, an organic amino acid chelate form of iron developed by Albion Laboratories, which is a highly absorbable form that is well utilised by the body. Research has shown that supplementation with iron bisglycinate supports the body’s maintenance of healthy haemoglobin levels as efficiently as 4X the dose of some other forms of iron (ferrous sulphate) and has less gastric side effects such as constipation.
Folic acid and vitamin B12 are important additional factors in the utilisation of iron and the body’s ability to maintain healthy, iron rich red blood cells. Vitamin C greatly increases absorption of iron. Dong quai and red raspberry are endocrine and reproductive supporting herbs helping to maintain a woman’s healthy menstrual cycle and uterus and therefore support normal healthy menstrual blood flow.
