Efanatal is specially formulated to help in three ways for;
- Before pregnancy to build up a Mother's store of vital LCPUFAs
- During pregnancy to provide the DHA & AA, which are important building blocks for Baby's brain, eye and central nervous system
- After pregnancy to help ensure adequate levels of LCPUFAs both to the Mother and Baby via the mother's breast milk.
Importance of fatty acids in pregnancy:
While LCPUFAs can be obtained from your diet, it's difficult to ensure an adequate supply during pregnancy. Foods that are rich in LCPUFAs tend to be the kind of things that pregnant women are encouraged to avoid, either for the health of the baby (e.g. eggs, offal, fatty fish) or for their own cholesterol levels (e.g. red meat).
In the last trimester of pregnancy the brain in the unborn baby increases 4 to 5 times in size and there is a rapid accumulation of DHA and AA in the eye and brain.
Taking Efanatal is a safe way to help safeguard the levels of these nutrients.

Efamol Rigel Pure Evening Primrose Oil 270mg (GLA 14mg)
Marine Fish Oil 280mg (DHA 62mg, EPA 14mg, AA 5mg)
Capsule: Gelatin, glycerine
DOES NOT CONTAIN: cod liver oil, corn, egg, gluten, milk derivatives, nuts, salt, soy, sugar, wheat, yeast, preservatives, flavouring or colours.
When using for the first time: Four softgels daily with food for an initial 12 weeks
maintenance dose: Take 2 softgels daily with food
Efanatal may be taken with folic acid.
Whilst Efanatal is generally regarded as safe to take with medicines, anyone under medical supervision, or taking medication, should consult their doctor before taking a supplement. This product should not be used in children under 2 years of age.
