Hoodia gordonii is one of a group of succulent plants native to the semi-desert areas of southern Africa. This particular variety of hoodia was traditionally used for thousands of years by San Bushmen of the Kalahari Desert. They ate the bitter tasting fleshy part of the stem to suppress their appetite and thirst through the long hunting trips that were part of their nomadic lifestyle.
Studies confirm Hoodia’s appetite suppressing effect, reducing hunger and food cravings and thus dietary intake. With less calories being consumed the body naturally starts using up its fat stores for energy.
Traditionally hoodia was used infrequently by the people of the Kalahari to treat indigestion and abdominal cramping, lift energy and improve mood.
Hoodia Side Effects
Works to curb appetite and helps eliminate waste from the bowel. Works better after at least a couple of weeks of use. I noticed when I stopped taking it I wanted to eat more again and when I started to finish off the rest of the bottle it did work to stop me eating as much.

For 9 months I'd been trying to lose the last 2kgs of the weight I gained during pregnancy, but I wasn't able to reduce my food intake below 1500 cal/day.I've been taking this product for 2 weeks & have managed to reduce my intake to 1200 cal/day without effort, using 1 capsule in the mid-afternoon. I still get hungry & eat meals, but I don't get hungry between meals, & I eat smaller meals & feel satisfied. There don't appear to be any side effects so far.
