Joint Pain & Inflammation Relief

Joint pain and inflammation are inextricably linked. Most people experience joint pain to varying degrees at some point in their lives. This is completely normal considering the everyday wear and tear that we put our joints through. Yet, when this pain becomes persistent (chronic), then the condition is usually referred to as arthritis. The word ‘arthritis’ is originally from the Greek ‘arthro-’ (joint) and ‘-itis’ (inflammation). Contrary to popular belief, arthritis is not a new condition or one that is solely associated with old age. It can affect people of all ages and is possibly one of the oldest health concerns known to humankind.

Joint Pain & Inflammation Info

Most people experience joint pain to varying degrees at some point in their lives. This is completely normal considering the everyday wear and tear that we put our joints through. Yet, when this pain becomes persistent (chronic), then the condition is usually referred to as arthritis.

The word ‘arthritis’ is originally from the Greek ‘arthro-’ (joint) and ‘-itis’ (inflammation). Contrary to popular belief, arthritis is not a new condition or one that is solely associated with old age. It can affect people of all ages and is possibly one of the oldest health concerns known to humankind. Fossilised Neanderthal remains from over 100 000 years ago have been analysed and evidence of arthritic-like conditions were discovered in their skeletal structures.

There are many different forms of arthritis (nearly 100 have been identified to date). The most common forms of arthritis are osteoarthritis (inflammation occurring within the joint itself) rheumatoid arthritis (inflammation in peripheral joints like the hands,) psoriatic arthritis (affecting the skin around the joint). When a joint becomes infected, it is known as septic arthritis.

How ordinary joint pain progresses to arthritis is still not known, even after all these years of humans dealing with the condition. The pain from arthritis is due to inflammation that occurs in and around the joint itself. It is also believed that joint damage from previous afflictions and muscle strains caused by (often forceful) movements against stiff and painful joints are possible root causes of the condition. Hereditary factors may also play a role, and the majority of medical researchers agree that viral and bacterial infections appear to promote the inflammation associated with arthritis.

  • What a wonderful product!

I have diabetes (and sore knees), and stumbled across this after hearing someone in my diabetes course mentioning Turmeric. I was actually looking for something else, and have always been very sceptical about the benefits of supplements, but while ordering some other things, this product popped up as a "freebie" with my other purchases. So - nothing to lose...
Well, little did I realise how fantastic this product would be - as a once-a-day tablet, I started taking them with my lunch. Within a couple of weeks, I finally realised that the pain I was having in my knees had abated, and I was starting to get better movement back. And then, as my 30 pack dwindled, and my scepticism increased, I ran out, and didn't pay much attention - until I went away for a weekend to sit in my daughter's very low couch, climb her stairs frequently, and sleep in her uncomfortably firm bed. I am really sold on these Turmeric Extra Strength tabs now, and have just ordered more... This product aptly comes in a box marked "Good Health"! Getting older sucks, but I'm a believer in helping my aging body out. Thanks, Good Health!

  • Great improvement in arthritis

I’m reordering these as I’ve had a complete reduction in pain , weakness in my fingers ! I’m really very happy about the results . My Naturopath recommended this particular one as more effective. She recommended them to help with an inner ear problem which was causing really bad vertigo after a severe inner ear infection & felt it was due to inflammation, it fixed that problem too ! Great stuff will continue.
