Overview

Vital Protein Powder is a 100% pea protein isolate, which is valued for its high digestibility (90-95%) and low potential for allergic responses. Pea protein is less allergenic than soy and has no negative health controversies associated with it.

Vital Protein Powder has a high Lysine content!

Lysine cannot be made in the body and must therefore be consumed through the diet. Lysine is the precursor of carnitine, the molecule responsible for converting fatty acids into energy and helping to lower cholesterol. Lysine also appears to help absorb calcium and plays an important role in the formation of collagen—the building block of connective tissue such as bones, cartilage, skin, tendons. It supports the normal growth and development of children and plays a role in the maintenance of a healthy immune system. Lysine deficiency is rare in typical American diets but can be a risk for strict vegetarians, vegans or elite athletes. Insufficient lysine can lead to fatigue, nausea, dizziness, loss of appetite, agitation, bloodshot eyes, slow growth, anemia, and reproductive disorders.

Directions

Dissolve or mix 2 heaped tablespoons in 200ml of water, milk of your choice, yoghurt or natural juice of your choice. Consume 1-4 times per day depending on how much protein you want in your diet.

Have been using vital pea protein on and off for 3 years. Smooth consistency mixes well with water in my mini blender with banana, blueberry and greens.I also use a half and half mix with Garden of Life protein as it improves the texture of the Garden of Life protein
