Baby’s skin is much thinner than adult skin, this is due to the top protective layer still developing. That’s why it’s more sensitive than adult skin, so it’s important to take extra care with your product selection. Read about why we need to Say no to petroleum in our skincare.
Newborn Skincare
When you first bring your little one home you may notice some newborn acne in the first few weeks, this is very common, and will normally disappear in a few weeks. Cradle cap is another common skin concern that results in some rough patches on the scalp – just wash gently and use a natural balm.
Baby Eczema
Babies tend to be more susceptible to commons skin concerns, in part due to their delicate skin, as well as the fact that their skin tends to get wet often, whether that is from a soiled nappy, or saliva. The combination of warm and soggy skin is not the best recipe and can provide an opportunity for some bugs to take up residence, resulting in all sorts of bumps and scratchy patches.
Sometimes a baby can react to food (either via breastmilk, or from a formula), and they have a skin reaction. You can support baby skin internally with Baby’s Probiotics, and our range of Baby’s Immune Support products.
