Chai or mixed-spice tea was originally popularized in India. Chai is a Hindi word that comes from the Chinese word for tea - “cha”. Traditionally, tea leaves and warming spices were brewed together in a mix of water and milk. The main spices are ginger and cardamom, accompanied by cinnamon, cloves, fennel, nutmeg and black pepper. Our flavourful Chai blends are easy to use as a tea, powder or paste - just add water and your choice of milk or a plant mylk substitute.
