Description
Nature's Sunshine Horsetail is also known as shavegrass, contains a highly absorbable silica, the highest amount of any herb. Silica is a trace mineral that supports collagen formation and works with calcium for healthy bones.
Nature’s Sunshine Horsetail's rich silica content explains the herbs use for supporting the skeletal system, connective tissues throughout the body and is important in the building and normal repair of healthy connective tissue, skin elasticity, as well as promoting the health of hair, nails and skin.
Such actions contribute to horsetails use for helping to support joint mobility. In addition to silica, horsetail contains large amounts of flavonoids, quercetin, sterols and saponins.

Good results
"Pubmed published a paper that indicated Horsetail to be equally effective as a loop diuretic but without any disruption to electrolyte balance. I have found this to be true and am happy with the results. Apparently, Spring is a good time to use this plant as it acts a general astringent tonic. Recommended."
