Description

Absolute Essential Manuka (Wild) is gentle and versatile. Manuka oil is sourced from a shrub native to New Zealand. It has a range of cleansing and healing properties that support conditioning skin care, as well as natural respiration and easy breathing. 

Manuka, often confused with Tea Tree or Kanuka, is a ubiquitous shrub-type tree native to Aotearoa New Zealand. The mature hardwood is dense and resinous and is often used for carving, smoking foods and the cultivation of Manuka honey from flower pollination - prized for its flavour and special properties.

Fragrance notes:

Fresh, gentle, warm camphor aroma with hints of lemon, earth and honey. 

Blends well with:

Frankincense, Lavender Spike, Eucalyptus, Fir Balsam and Sandalwood.
Ingredients

Leptospermum scoparium (flower/leaf, distilled, wild grown, New Zealand)

Naturally occurring constituents: Leptospermone, trans-Calamenene, Cadina-1,4-diene, delta- Cadinene, Isoleptospermone.
Directions

For topical use: Blend with a carrier oil before applying to the skin, 5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil (i.e. almond, apricot, jojoba.)

For diffuser or vaporiser: Add 4-8 drops of essential oil as per instructions of device.

Skin health: Add 5-10 drops to a bath to support healthy skin and natural recovery from irritation and itchiness. Repeat twice a week or as required.

Women's health: Supports healthy yeast balance. Simply add 5 drops of Manuka to the bath. Repeat daily as required.

Congestion: To support healthy breathing and clear chests and heads add 5 drops along with 5 drops each of Lavender Spike and Eucalyptus. Use via steam inhalation or dilute in 30ml Sweet Almond oil and rub over the chest and back. Repeat as required.

Skin care: As a gentle cleanser and to help reduce the appearance of dry and scaly skin, add 2 drops to your face and body wash. Apply daily as required.
Precautions
  • Never ingest essential oils.
  • Never use them undiluted on your skin.
  • Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health professional. 
  • Never use essential oils topically on babies under 3 months old (except under the guidance of a qualified therapist).
  • If using topically with children, halve the amount of essential oils used (e.g. 2 drops per 10 ml).
  • Avoid continual repetitive use - not more than 4-5 days in any week, unless in severe circumstances or under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
