Best Hyaluronic Acid with Chondroitin Sulfate contains BioCell Collagen®, a patented, science-based, dietary ingredient that supports youthful skin, healthy joint structure and supports joint function.
Hyaluronic Acid, a type of building block called a glycosaminoglycan, plays an important role in supporting the health and hydration of connective tissue. Healthy connective tissue and cartilage maintenance is fundamental in normal skin and joint function. Hyaluronic Acid is highly concentrated in synovial fluid, where it serves to support joint lubrication and the elastic structural and functional characteristics of the joint.
Chondroitin sulfate is a key component of joint cartilage. Doctor’s Best uses chondroitin sulfate with a purity of 90 percent or greater. Chondroitin sulfate and the other glycosaminoglycans strongly attract water due to the negative charges of their sulfate groups. These negative charges also repel each other, creating spaces between glycosaminoglycan side chains where water can enter. This combination of solid and liquid gives cartilage a compressible quality that supports its function in healthy joints.
Type II collagen is the collagen that makes up cartilage in the joints. Studies have shown that hydrolyzed collagen provides a substantial advantage in bioavailability over non-hydrolyzed collagen, thereby having the potential to support healthy joint structure more efficiently.

I really noticed the difference the Hyaluronic Acid made, and quite quickly. I'm 60 and work in an air conditioned building so my skin dries out. My skin is more hydrated and fuller looking, small wrinkles plumped out. Had a lot of comments about my skin since I started taking it. I find it also helps with my joints affected by arthritis, less stiff and smoother movement. I really like it being derived from chicken sternum cartilege and not marine products as there is no fishy taste or smell. Yes. Even vege caps with marine products have that smell and taste.
