Enzymedica Kids Digest Chewable™ is a comprehensive digestive enzyme formula designed to naturally support digestive discomfort. While a healthy diet rich in vitamins and minerals can go a long way in the absorption of nutrients, kids can run into many of the same struggles that adults experience. Enzyme deficiencies may impact the body’s ability to break down fats, fibre, carbohydrates and proteins. This may result in the occasional gas, bloating, and other digestive discomforts.
It contains a range of enzymes to help breakdown many food types, including Enzymedica’s amylase, lipase, protease and cellulase Therablend® enzymes. Incorporating enzymes into a daily diet may also help support regularity and speed the process of digestion and nutrient absorption. This natural fruit punch-flavoured formula is gentle on young, delicate stomachs and ideal for children aged 4 and up. Kids Digest Chewable™ is naturally sweetened with sugar-free xylitol.
Digestive Enzymes:
Digestive enzymes turn the food we eat into energy and unlock this potential energy for use in the body. Since most of the foods we eat are either cooked or processed (destroying the enzymes contained within the food) our bodies must produce the majority of the digestive enzymes we require unless we use supplemental enzymes to aid in the digestive process.
Over the course of many years, we use up so much of our enzyme potential making the digestive enzymes necessary to digest our food, that we may become deficient. Our ability to keep up with the digestive enzyme requirements begins to suffer which could lead to malabsorption, poor nutrition as well as digestive complaints.
