Description
Solgar Standardised Deglycyrrhised Licorice root extract.   Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) root has a long and varied record of uses. It was and remains one of the most important herbs in traditional Chinese herbal practice.   

Traditionally it has been used for soothing the digestive tract, respiratory issues, support hormonal balance, arthritis, allergies and fatigue.  However, long term use of this traditional herb could cause hypertension and oedema.  Hence Solgar has removed the “problem causing” part of glycyrrhizin thereby creating a product that is safe and effective for a prolonged period.  It can still be used for the traditional uses.

Ingredients

Each Vegetable Capsule Provides:

 

Standardised Deglycyrrhised Licorice Root Powdered Extract 250mg

 (<2.5mg [<1%] glycyrrhizin)

Raw Licorice Root Powder 225mg

Antioxidant (powdered blend* of beta-carotene prep. & ascorbic acid)

 

Also contains: Magnesium stearate, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose.

 

*PhytO2X is a special blend of natural antioxidants, the purpose of which is to maintain the freshness of the ingredients.

 
Directions

As a herbal food supplement for adults take one (1) to three (3) vegetable capsules daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
Precautions
  • Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless under advice of a healthcare professional.
  • Always read the label and use as directed. Vitamins are supplementary to a balanced diet. If symptoms persist consult your healthcare professional.
  • This product is not intended for those individuals with hypertension.
