Description

Absolute Essential Oregano (Organic) is a bright and cleansing plant distillation to support warming relief from muscle tension. When used on the skin, it must be diluted. The aroma encourages healthy digestion.

A bushy and woody perennial from the mint family with attractive sprays of tiny, pale pink flowers. It grows up to 15cm in height and is native to the Mediterranean region. 

Fragrance notes:

A woody citrus with camphoric undertone. Hints of bitter spice and green pepper.

Blends well with:

Lavender, Rosemary, Bergamot, Cypress, Cedarwood, Tea Tree and Eucalyptus.
Ingredients

Origanum compactum (flowering plant, distilled, certified organic, France)

Naturally occurring constituents: Carvacrol, gamma-Terpinene, Thymol, Paracymene.
Directions

For topical use: Blend with a carrier oil before applying to the skin, 5 drops per 10ml of carrier oil (i.e. almond, apricot, jojoba.)

 

For diffuser or vaporiser: Add 4-8 drops of essential oil as per instructions of device.

 

Air antiseptic: Burn 3-5 drops in a diffuser with other antiseptic essential oils such as Lemon and Thyme.

 

Muscle tension: Oregano has a warming action that can be utilised in the treatment of muscular discomfort and stiffness. Add 5 drops to 10mls carrier oil and massage affected area regularly. 

 

Nerve tonic: The aroma creates an atmosphere to energise a tired mind and revives the senses, giving a feeling of well-being. Blend 2-3 drops with other uplifting essential oils in a diffuser.

 
Precautions
  • Never ingest essential oils.
  • Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health professional. 
  • Never use essential oils topically on babies under 3 months old (except under the guidance of a qualified therapist). If using topically with children, halve the amount of essential oils used (e.g. 2 drops per 10 ml).
  • Do not use during pregnancy or in children under 12 years.
  • Allergies: This oil blend does not contain any nut oils, however, the place of manufacture handles nut oils.
