Nature's Sunshine Pantothenic Acid is also known as vitamin B5, is manufactured in part by intestinal microorganisms. Pantothenic acid is also an important component for maintaining healthy digestive function. This water-soluble vitamin is necessary for healthy adrenal function, the conversion of fat and sugar into energy, the support of normal growth and tissue replacement, and the development of the central nervous system. It works in tandem with the other B-complex vitamins.
Pantothenic Acid is also needed to make steroid hormones and the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Pantothenic acid is a strong antioxidant and an important nutrient required during times of worry and nervousness. The body may require increased amounts of this vitamin when under physical or mental strain. For best results, take Nature’s Sunshine Pantothenic Acid in conjunction with other B vitamins.
