Only Good

As awareness of the toxins that can lurk in our everyday household products grows, increasing numbers of people are seeking out ranges that are not only effective at doing their jobs, but which lack the nasty ingredients that threaten our health and environment too. Only Good is a New Zealand range that ticks all the boxes and is what it says on the label.

Their products are all vegan friendly, and cruelty free. There is no SLS/SLES to be found in their hand soaps and body wash, no parabens or petrochemicals in sight, no colours, synthetic fragrances or irritants like PEG and EDTA. Their range is entirely palm oil free – important for those wanting to protect the forests of Indonesia and the endangered species that live there, such as orangutans.

Only Good is formulated to be gentler for all types of skin. Their use of essential oils as fragrances mean there is a scent for every occasion, from relaxing to calming to soothing. With hand wash, body wash and various hand and body lotions, the range is extensive.

Product Reviews

  • Nice but ... not that aroma!

This daily moisturiser is a lovely texture, and it soaks into the skin really well, with no greasy residue. It's great to wear under makeup, and I mix it with a BB cream that is a little dark for me to soften the tone. The only thing that I really dislike is the smell. It has a plastic aroma, a little like playdough. There is a hint of coconut in there, but it's overwhelmingly strong and unnatural smelling. I will continue to use this tube as it has lots of positives, but I'll be looking for an alternative next time.

  • OK When On Offer

I would say that at its RRP, it's not worth it I would say it is no better than other supermarket brands that are not as expensive.

In saying that, price aside, here is my review of the product itself. I find that this is moderately moisturising: it is not very thick (for a night cream) when it comes out of the tube- I applied it twice to my face to feel a good level of moisturisation. It settles with a velvety, almost powdery feel that is slightly mattifying, however, I can feel this "layer" when I move the muscles on my face and I don't really like this. It has a very strong sweet fragrance that is possibly the worst feature of the cream. Overall, I'd guess that this night cream is marketed for younger skin and I can see that it could do well for teenage or twenty-something skin that slides well under makeup.

  • Love

I love this cleanser, I find it feels quite nourishing on your skin and doesn’t sting my eyes! Yay! And I do have quite sensitive eyes/skin so this is great. I use a cleansing oil first to remove my makeup and follow with this. Love it!
