Lip Balm Benefits

Having dry, peeling lips is not fun and can be caused by a number of factors such as extreme dry or cold weather, office air conditioning and not having enough fluids. Our lips are pretty unique to the rest of our skin and need extra attention like the skin around our eyes, as they don’t normally secrete the oils that waterproof and moisturise.

So to maintain soft lips, utilising the healing properties of plant oils and plant butters as well as bee products like beeswax and honey that protect and seal in moisture, can keep your lips happy and healthy. Using a SPF lip balm adds extra protection if you’re planning to be out in the sunshine.

Product Reviews

  • Best healing product.

Best healing product ever. Great for mosquito bites etc, antiseptic. I use it on anything that needs healing. The little tube is great too, I keep one in my handbag, one at work, in the bathroom and first aid kit ... etc etc.. Love it. And you only need to use such a tiny spot, it last for ages. Just another fantastic product from Malcolm Harker.

  • Fantastic Lip Balm, Made in NZ

I've tried a lot of lip balms and lipsticks, and this has been a great natural alternative. My lips are very dry and flaky when I wear lipstick. This is a lovely soft base to use prior to lipstick. I use it at home as well when I go make up free. I also love that the proceeds go to a charitable trust and that it's made in Golden Bay. I often buy the balm stick as stocking and present fillers for friends and family.

  • Not the best

I had been using Weleda lip balm for couple of years, ordered this as it was cheaper and has roughly the same ingredients, it does not work for me. I found I had to re apply often as the effect did not last, my lips dried out often using this product, perhaps it does not absorb well? I have switched back to Weleda.
