Omega 3 Fish Oil Info

Humans must obtain Omega 3 fatty acids from our diet as, while they're essential for optimal health, our bodies can't synthesise them. The three Omega 3's are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Omega 3 Fish Oil contains high concentrations of EPA and DHA, the two Omega 3's used directly by the human body. ALA is the plant version of EPA and DHA. Once ingested, ALA is converted by a metabolic process into EPA and DHA to make it available for use within the body. Thus, unlike in the case of fish oil, another step is required in turning plant sourced Omega 3, such as flaxseed oil, into a form that can be utilised.

Omega 3 Fish Oil or Krill Oil supplementation is a reliable way of ensuring optimal intake of EPA and DHA for general health and well-being.

I have tried other products for joint pain & have found this product to be more affective. I do not seem to be suffering from arthritis pain either though my condition is mild. I will buy this product again.

  • A thousand times better than all those omega-3 lollies on the market!

    star

I love this product because it has a good level of omega-3 compared to other children's products. I would rather give my son this than expose him to supplements that look and taste like lollies, and have very low levels of omega-3 in them. My son has gone off fish lately, so I'm glad that with this product he won't be missing out on this important brain-nutrient.
