Gotu Kola is fantastic for joint pain. It was suggested to me by my sister who had a plant growing. Several years ago I was suffering RSI in the joint of my thumbs but after eating Gotu Kola leaves, the pain left. My sister also recommended the plant leaves to my uncle who was to have an operation on both knees, but after eating Gotu Kola leaves regularly over a short period, he did not need to have the operation on his knees. After being pain free in my hands, I forgot about Gotu Kola, however, a couple of months ago I had to have an x-ray on my right hip because I was in a lot of pain and could not ascend steps. X-rays showed the beginnings of arthritis but nothing so bad to explain the pain I was in, so I was sent to have x-rays on my knee - same outcome. It was then that I was reminded of Gotu Kola and because my plant had died I purchased the capsules. Within a week the pain was gone from my hip. My only concern is that when I went back to the Health food store to buy more Gotu Kola capsules I could not get the same brand so I went on line and purchased them through \"iherb\" however the wording on the container is different (no longer says that they are caffeine free) and the capsules are plant based and not gelatin and I don\'t like the taste of them. There are some other word differences as well, and I am concerned that they are not the same product. I would like confirmation that they are the \"exact same\" product.
