Worth the Investment

My pilates instructor recommended this product to me. It was a God-send as taking this, along with strength-training helped me through the rapid muscle-loss & myalgia I was experiencing leading up to a recent diagnosis of illness (Grave's). I've taken one star off simply because of its taste, however I masked this by blending it into my smoothies with a load of frozen berries, greens + a banana.

Delicious and Nutritious
13-09-2019 19:30:18
I was excited to try this protein powder as I’ve been looking for something that gives me the protein component for post-workout but also the nutritional value. This appealed to me because the ingredients have high bioavailability and will give me that extra nutrition boost. The taste is super delicious with banana, avacado, ice and coconut milk. It’s not too bad on its own either! Those who said the taste is bad might be used to something super sweet? Not sure but it’s great. Recommend!!

Great idea but tastes so, so bad
13-01-2019 14:52:25
I love the IDEA of this product. I really wanted to like it because it has over 8mg of iron per serve and I have low iron levels - oh man have I tried to like it - BUT most of the kg gone and I still just can't stand it. I have come to hate my breakfast smoothie. Thank goodness it's almost gone! It is lip puckeringly super sweetened with Stevia and the texture is gritty. The natural flavour Amazonia Raw Protein Isolate is still gritty but at least you can flavour it how you like without all that Stevia so if you want to give it a go, I would recommend trying that one instead.

Good product, not the best taste.

I had high hopes for this product as I have discovered protein, it helps keep my energy and appetite level throughout my day. I had read about the benefits of fermented protein and was eager to try this product. I can't get past the difficulty in the texture or maybe it's the taste or both. I have difficulty in swallowing the texture as it can stick in my throat, I've tried it in a variety of mixes, I've tried thinning it out, reducing the measurement, etc and it's the same gritty, hard to swallow pasty response.

Gag
08-03-2018 04:05:47
I have a huge jar of this at home which sadly I can't use. The taste gets my gag reflex going, and I can't down it. I did however purchase the Amazonia Raw macadamia and cacao. That one is ALOT better and I love it. If only I'd brought that one first!!!

A+++

Really wonderful stuff. Having good quality, easily digestable protein makes it possible to stay plant based - it keeps away cravings for animal protein, especially if exercising or building muscle. Is so helpful for vegan paleo/vegan ketogenic/ vegan low-carb lifestyles. Theres no bloating or digestive troubles with this stuff. I really love it. I make a spicy smoothie: .5-1 serving of protein, 1 thumb size piece of ginger, 1 peeled root of tumeric, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, Unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 tbsp chia, 1 tbsp coconut yoghurt (sometimes), stevia, vanilla, and ice. It is so lovely and the best way to enjoy this protein I have found. This one, and the Amazonia Slim and Tone protein (vanilla and cinnamon?) are my all time favorites - and ive tried a LOT of vegan protein powders over the years from NZ and internationally, this stuff is really the best ive found.

Pleasantly surprised

As someone who has only used whey protein, I was keen to try something better for me. I'd be lying if I said the texture and taste wasn't a bit of a shock at first but I am totally hooked on Amazonia's Raw Fermented Paleo Proteins. It's satisfying after a work out, light enough to not make me feel icky (specially if I have it before a workout), not sweet- just right. If you're looking to move to a natural protein, you must try this- there is NO WAY I'm going back to whey!! My only suggestion is to use more water than the directions say (I use 300-400ml instead of 200ml).

Great protein powder
05-10-2017 15:59:24
I was really pleased to find an organic paleo fermented protein powder for easy digestion and low lectin content. I have used protein powders in green smoothies for breakfast for years now to increase my vegetable intake but had not known their were fermented ones available. This is much less sweet than others which is great. I also like that it contains Sacha Inchi protein and doesn't just rely on pea protein. It is quite expensive but comparable to some others and I use a less than 3 Tablespoons as I am also adding chia and linseed which contain protein also.
