AWWA Eva Brief - Ebony (Black) period underwear's slim line and absorbent design uses the latest in innovative fabric technology, so you can revolutionise how you manage your period.  AWWA's original I am Eva Brief period undies can hold and absorb up to 2 regular tampons or pads worth of flow.

AWWA rigorously tested period underwear features:
  • An outer layer to provide a leak-resistant barrier
  • A super-absorbent layer to hold and absorb the blood
  • An anti-microbial layer that uses the latest fabric technology to prevent odours
  • A layer closest to your skin to draw moisture away fast, ensuring you remain dry
Depending on your flow, you may be able to wear AWWA underwear as an alternative to pads, tampons or cups, or in conjunction with other menstrual products. Every women's period is unique, so AWWA recommend you be guided by your own experiences and flow, and test the underwear out at home first if you are at all concerned (for peace of mind factor).

AWWA washable period undies mean less 'single use' waste, and less monthly cost for you! Using a special super-effective absorbency layer, AWWA underwear will keep you comfortable, fresh and dry all month long!

Please see Period Underwear Size Chart:
AWWA underwear is made true to size. To ensure the leak proof technology does its job AWWA underwear fits slightly more snug than your regular underwear.

About the layers:

  • Layer closest to the skin is always cotton
  • This has an anti-microbial application
  • The purpose of this is to kill bacteria and dispel odours
  • The cotton layer has also had a moisture wicking application - this means that it is able to draw moisture away from the skin quickly and absorb it through
  • The absorbent layer of the underwear has also had the anti-microbial and moisture wicking application
  • The leak proof barrier has a laminate on the back to prevent any leak throughs

The cotton, Eva Brief and Skye High hold and absorb up to 2 regular pads or tampons worth of flow. The only difference between them is the style - Eva brief has the nylon outer and wider waistband. Cotton sits slightly higher than the Eva Brief, Skye high has the mesh panelling on the side and sits up around the belly button.

  • We recommend rinsing by hand first until the water runs clear, then pop in a cold wash with your other clothes, and line dry.
  • DO NOT use fabric softener as it prevents the moisture-wicking and anti-microbial technologies in your AWWA undies from working as effectively.
  • DO NOT use the drier as this can damage the delicate technology used in the underwear. A great way to dry the underwear during wet days is in the hot water cupboard.
  • Use a delicates bag if possible as this will help prolong the life of your underwear (and is how all under garments should be washed).
Wear: Your AWWA underwear for as long as you would normally wear 2 regular tampons or 2 pads.

Rinse: Your AWWA underwear and throw in the washing machine with your ordinary clothes. Put on another pair of AWWA underwear and go smash your day.

I was honestly a little nervous about trying these even though I use cotton reusable pads and trust them. I braved going out the first time I wore them and they were so comfortable and no leaks! I dont even know how they work but I definately will be buying more!

I went with the other reviews' advice to go a size up. They looked too big but held everything in and felt really comfortable. I havent used on my heviest day yet. I bought three and did use all three one of the days but no other sanitary protection. Great product.

I use these at night with a pad to avoid leakage & they work great. I tried the size 12 L I'm a 10-12, so will try a 10 next time as they are a little loose around the bottom but still work fine. I have also used these with the Aku super pad, happy with this combo.

So yes, I was a little nervous trying these out, but loved the idea of a zero-waste period, so gave them a go. Super impressed by them. I felt happy that there was no odour or squelchiness on my heaviest days. They are super easy to use and wash. I had two pairs, so made sure I could rotate between washing and wearing. I reckon x 4 pairs will cover a 5 day period safely. I would rinse out in the shower then throw them in a regular wash. I wore them overnight with a heavy flow and no leakage. For Eva Brief I would recommend going up a size! I\'m a size 10-12 would usually choose the Large. But I went up to the Xtra Large size based on other \"word of mouth\" and online recommendations. These were comfortable for me, so I think the Large would have felt too tight. So yes, thank you AWWA, these are great.

I LOVE my period pants! I brought them in the hope of a restful, comfortable, leak free nights sleep and these have delivered. So much so I have just brought my second pair. The absorbent layer feels nice and thin. Only thing to be aware of i am usually a size 8-10 more 8 than 10 and i wear a medium which fits perfect.
