Most acne creams rely on benzoyl peroxide, a cheap bleach that can even turn hair orange on contact. While it’s common, harsh bleaches aren’t the best choice if you want skin that stays healthy, calm and clear.

Blemishes can be caused by a mix of factors, from sebum (your skin’s natural oils) going rancid, to hormones or even bacteria infecting pores. That’s why a cream that gently cleanses and targets both issues with natural ingredients is far superior to bleach, in our opinion.
