Help for seratonin and mood level!
I am 81 now and for several years now have not been able to produce seratonin. I have been taking 5HTP in the past and some SAMe too but for quite a while now I have been taking 500mg x 3 tablets daily of No-Flush Niacin. This was
on the recommendation of Dr. Andrew Saul, the nutritionist/medical doctor speaking on the DVD "Food Matters - You are what you eat"
where he spoke of a depressed girl totally isolated at home, who started taking 3000mg daily of Niacin. I take 3 x 500mg daily ( 1500 mg) of this No-Flush Niacin with 5HTP 160 mg capsules - 2 a day and this seems to keep me going evenly. This may sound strange to some, but for years I relived deep emotional pain from my childhood and the war UK v Germany, and this has been a
remarkable help for me. I believe when you are over 70 years old, the body can longer make seratonin?!
