5 plastic-free favourites loved by Lucy

Plastic Free July is a great reminder that small steps towards reducing waste do make a difference – for our health and the health of the planet. At HealthPost, we make it easier by vetting every product for unnecessary or wasteful packaging and celebrating the brands leading the way with plastic free packaging.

Here are a few of my personal favourites – healthy, plastic free products that help reduce single-use plastics without compromising on quality or joy. Simple, sustainable swaps that are, at least, a step in the right direction. I hope you find something here for you!

Sprouting Jar Kit

1. GoodLife Sprouting Jar Kit

Fresh sprouts are a brilliant way to boost your vitamin C and nutrient intake – especially in winter when leafy greens are scarce. Sprouting at home is straightforward with the right tools, and this home sprouting kit makes it even easier. The unique lid design allows for optimal drainage and airflow, giving you fresh, crunchy sprouts without the plastic packaging – a must for every zero-waste kitchen or anyone looking for plastic free food storage.

2. Radiance Kids Calm & Focus Gummies

Radiance deserves a special mention in Plastic Free July. Their high-quality kid supplements are made in Aotearoa and packaged in lightweight, infinitely recyclable aluminium tins – a solid shift from single-use plastic. These kid magnesium gummies are a winner in our house during busy or stressful times. They also contain L-Theanine, which I find calming too… so yes, I may dip into them now and then!
