Highlights

Enzymedica Gluten Ease contains a unique combination of enzymes which provide support for gluten and casein breakdown. Some individuals may experience difficulty digesting foods containing these molecules. The enzyme DPP-IV is well known for its ability to break down gluten and gliadin proteins which may reduce the digestive upsets associated with gluten intolerance. Amylase and Glucoamylase enzymes assist in the digestion of the carbohydrate portion of grains (such as wheat) which often contain gluten. This product is ideal if an individual is eating out and they are unsure if the food they are eating is completely gluten or casein free.

Gluten is a protein found in grains, notably wheat, rye and barley. Gluten intolerance occurs when there is a difficulty in breaking down specific amino acid links (called peptides) in the gluten molecules. This can lead to many digestive complaints.  Gluten exhibits a unique amino acid sequence which creates gut irritation and a flattening of the villi of the intestinal tract. The villi provide the intestine with the ability to absorb nutrients from the foods we eat, thus damaged villi can lead to issues such as malabsorption, nutrient deficiencies or other digestive disorders.

Coeliac Disease is an auto-immune disorder; therefore, it is recommended that people with Coeliac Disease still remove all gluten containing products from their diet.

  • Keep product closed and in a dry place; avoid excessive heat.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Individuals with sensitive digestive tracts may need to start with half a capsule with each meal.
  • Always read the label and use as directed. If symptoms persist see your healthcare professional.

Prevented something from becoming a lot worse.

I swear by these. I have what I describe as \'more than intolerance and less than Celiac\'. I had a holiday in England a few years ago and unknowingly drank about 2 litres of a soft drink before thinking to look at the label only to find out it had barley in it, so was rather lethargic during the trip. We stayed in a hotel during our last couple of days that did not know the meaning of cross-contamination, and I ended up getting sick. So I got hit with a double whammy. If it had not been for these tablets it would have been a hell of a lot worse. I love these tablets and carry them about in my bag every day I\'m out and about or am going out to eat. I would definitely recommend them to others, though am unsure about recommending to those with Celiac.

I've tried similar but this is the best one by far. I'm as intolerant as you can get without being allergic and I'm able to eat my favourite veggie chow mein with these and feel nothing more than a little bloated.

Helps a lot

Definitely help with gluten and dairy - I wouldn\'t say I can just ignore my body and take these to make up for choosing to eat foods I\'m sensitive/allergic to but definitely helps the following days when eating those things inadvertently

This works really well for me. I take one before a meal that I think may have gluten hidden in it and my tummy stays happy.\nI also finds it works well if I get glutened and provides quick relief from stomach pains etc.
